Materials
Rubber is available in various formulations and grades, each possessing unique properties that make it ideal for specific applications.
These variations allow rubber to be tailored for diverse industrial and commercial uses.
FVMQ : Fluorosilicone
FVMQ (Fluorosilicone Rubber)
FVMQ rubber combines the flexibility of silicone with improved fuel and oil resistance, making it suitable for both low and high-temperature conditions.
Key Advantages
-
Heat resistance: up to 177°C
-
Superior low-temperature flexibility: remains elastic down to -73°C
-
Chemical resistance: performs well in aromatic hydrocarbons, fuels, and oils
-
Excellent weatherability: resists UV, ozone, and aging
Limitations
-
Less resistant to hot air oxidation than FKM
-
Lower mechanical strength than FKM
Common Applications
-
Aerospace, automotive fuel systems, food processing, industrial equipment
